Before working with any simulation, the software environment must be correctly configured. This page covers how to verify that iPool Apollo is properly installed, licensed, and ready for use.

System Installation and Licensing​

Every simulation performed in iPool Apollo depends on three fundamental components:

  • A correctly installed application
  • A valid software license
  • A properly configured working environment

Without these three components, the system may fail to locate databases, input files, or save simulation results.

Prerequisites​

  • iPool Apollo installed during Session 1
  • Access to the installation directory and the data directory at C:\iEnergy\
  • A valid license file in the expected location

Installation Review​

During Session 1, iPool Apollo was installed together with its required supporting files.

Successful installation places the application executables inside the installation directory while maintaining a separate data directory for all simulation files. Project data are commonly stored at:

C:\iEnergy\

This separation keeps software updates from affecting user-created scenarios and databases. The installation directory holds the executables; the data directory holds all project files you create and manage.
